Girls and women empowerment

For several years in Rwanda, due to the culture women and girls have been left behind in education, decision making, job opportunities, etc... and that they are major contributors to economic development in various ways and primary caregivers in households. To give them back their value and the equal opportunities like their brothers and husbands, at HIHD we promote their economic empowerment so that they become accepted in their families and communities as responsible and contributing agents. To achieve this, HIHD trains women and girls on entrepreneurship, handcraft making, saving literacy and provides financial support to women and girls so that they start to run different businesses of their choice.
