The Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Program is a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to clean water, enhancing sanitation facilities, and promoting hygiene education in the Western Province, specifically targeting the Rubavu and Nyabihu districts. This program addresses critical issues related to water scarcity, poor sanitation, and hygiene practices, which are essential for the health and well-being of the communities.

HIHD's WASH interventions include

  • Constructing rainwater harvesting systems in communities.
  • Installing water filters to provide clean water.
